Originally from Los Angeles, California, Mark W. Smith had a desire to pursue medicine from an early age. He obtained his Bachelors of Arts in Biological Sciences from the University of Southern California and his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California. He completed his Internal Medicine training at Huntington Memorial Hospital, located in Pasadena, California. After working as a locums Hospitalist for three years, he returned to training to complete a subspecialization in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine at Beth Israel in New York, New York. In additional to a thriving bedside practice, Dr. Smith is actively involved in telemedicine and provides Critical Care Services throughout the country.
